Hi! My name is Florieke, and I'm thrilled to see you found your way here; welcome!

If you're curious, you can read a little bit more about me here. I am Dutch but currently residing in Poland. Throughout the years, I've been fortunate to see the world and call many beautiful places my home. Now, I focus on building a steady home in one place, seeking the serene calmness that nature has to offer. I moved from the overcrowded Netherlands in search of solitude.

In my professional life, I work in IT as a product owner and am currently obtaining a diploma in product design. This way I can combine my passion for design with my professional career. Whenever I have time to spare, you'll most likely find me in a quiet corner trying to demystify a knitting pattern and somehow turn it into a garment (trust the process).

I learned how to knit from my mom when I was 12 years old. Even though I gained the skill early on, I didn't touch any yarn or knitting needles until the first year after I graduated and needed a hobby to balance out a demanding workweek I just love knitting and watching a yarn transform into a beautiful garment. I prefer working with soft fibers like merino, cashmere, and silk, and more recently, I have come to appreciate cotton too. I can turn into a real geek about what makes each fiber unique, but I will spare you the details.

I intend for this website to become a platform where I can bring like-minded souls together and share ideas, inspiration, and tips on all things knitting.​
